After graduating from the London College of Fashion with a BA (Honours) degree in Hair and Makeup For Fashion, Shemaiah spent the next few years as a freelance editorial hair and makeup artist. Born and raised in South London, she takes her inspiration from her African-Caribbean decent often referencing culture and iconic artists through her work. Her natural talent and ability to paint led her to using faces as a canvas. She was taught by the best, Bea Sweet Beauty, celebrity makeup artists who has worked on high end designer catwalks and celebrities such as Kelly Rowland as well as featuring in Harpers Bazaar and Vogue. Following in her footsteps, Shemaiah has also featured in Vogue, New Wave Magazine collaborating with brands such as Levi, Boots and Burberry for various campaigns.
